What should I do if there is a problem with road marking?

Time:10-27-2020

During the construction of road markings or after the completion of the construction, there are sometimes various abnormalities in the markings. So, what should we do when we encounter this situation? The following road marking manufacturers will introduce the problems and solutions of road marking in detail.

Road marking problems and solutions:

1. Reasons for poor reflection at night

Too much primer passes through the wet paint, which is too difficult to cope with the flexibility of the soft asphalt pavement and tends to appear on the edge of the marking.

Solution: Change the paint to stabilize the asphalt before marking. Note: The temperature change of day and night in winter can easily cause this problem.

2. Mark the cause of the surface depression

The coating viscosity is too thick, resulting in uneven coating thickness during construction.

Solution: Heat the furnace first, dissolve the coating at 200-220℃, and stir evenly. Note: The applicator must match the viscosity of the paint.

3. Mark the cause of surface cracking

4. Reasons for thick and long stripes on the marking surface

During the construction process, the paint flow out contains granular hard substances, such as burnt paint or stone particles.

Solution: Check the filter and remove all hard objects. Note: Avoid excessive heating and clean the road before construction.

5. Mark the cause of pinholes on the surface

The air between the road joints expands and then passes through the wet paint, and the wet cement moisture passes through the surface of the paint. The primer solvent evaporates through the wet paint, The water expands and then evaporates. This problem is even more obvious on new roads.

Solution: reduce the paint temperature, let the cement pavement harden for a long time before marking, let the primer completely dry, let the moisture completely evaporate, and make the pavement dry. Note: If the temperature is too low during construction, the paint will peel off and lose its appearance. Do not start construction immediately after rain. Do not start construction unless the road is completely dry.

The above is the introduction of the problems that will occur in road marking and the corresponding solutions. Hope to help everyone. Finally, I hope that when you are driving, you should drive according to the markings on the road instead of pressing the line, let alone going backwards.
